You can now enable our brand new Text to Give feature within app.getgenerous.com and start receiving donations by SMS within seconds!
Once enabled, share your unique Text to Give number and campaign keyword with your donors. Text to Give allows donors to make repeat donations within seconds!

Westpac PayWay Integration now available (GEN-793)
If you are a Westpac PayWay customer, you can now integrate with your Generous account. We still offer our own Generous gateway along with integrations to many other gateway providers.

"Multi-giving" option now available on giving forms (GEN-803)
You can now enable "multi-giving" on your campaign giving forms. Multi-giving allows donors to increase their donation by giving multiple amounts in a single donation. Multi-giving is a great tool when asking for donations toward specific needs-based options.

Custom "From:" address (GEN-820)
By default, our platform will send receipts and notifications to your donors from our receipt@getgenerous.com email address. With this new custom "From:" address feature, you can now specify your own email address, to improve your branding and ensure emails to donors are readily recognizable.

eTapestry CRM Integration (GEN-813)
If you are a Blackbaud eTapestry customer, you can now integrate with your Generous account. With this integration, Generous send donor and donation information to your linked eTapestry campaigns and funds.

Enhancements
New look giving form (GEN-775)
We've refreshed the look of the giving form to make it align with web design systems and to provide a modern look for many client websites.
The refresh includes:
- Crisper, cleaner lines and text
- Updates to button styles and animations
- Improvements to error messages
- Inclusion of the text "Donating in Australian Dollars" on step 1
Change Giving Form Templates to manual save by user (GEN-667)
Some of our users reported a desire to change the giving form branding template auto-saved functionality when editing the giving form branding in the campaign editor. By default, the system saves your campaign's giving form branding as a template for future use. However, this can result in a lot of giving form templates (one for each campaign) if you have a large number of campaigns. We've changed the functionality of this so that you can choose when to save a giving form branding template manually.

Default Date Sort by Last Donated Date (GEN-812)
To make life easier, when you access a page with donations shown, we'll sort it by most recent donation first!
Customise the "Add a note" description (GEN-821)
The "Add a note" feature lets donors leave a note right in the giving form to accompany their donation. Now, you can specify a custom description to go on the giving form such as "Leave a special message with my donation" or "I'd like to say a few words of encouragement". Notes are stored along with donations.

Improvements to donor contribution to processing fees in Campaign Editor and on Giving Form (GEN-797)
We've made improvements to the language used for the donor contribution feature within the giving form editor as well as on the giving form on your website so that it is clearer to both organisations and donors alike.
When setting up your campaign and giving form, you can choose to give donors the option to increase their donation by a specified percentage to contribute towards processing fees. By effect, when a donor selects this option they simply donate a higher amount. And your processing fees (whether charged by Generous or your third-party gateway) will be calculated on the total donation amount.

Fixes
Reported totals on the Dashboard screen may include failed donations (GEN-800)
In some cases, the reports on the Dashboard screen may have included the quantity and value of failed donations within the reported totals. This bug has been squashed! (Failed donations means donations that have declined after maximum retries, including expired credit cards)
Custom name for "Organisation" may not update on the giving form (GEN-738)
In some cases, when editing your giving form and specifying a custom name for "Organisation", the custom name may not have been reflected on the giving form on your website. This bug has been squashed!

Incorrect fees calculation when a donor gives more to contribute to processing costs (GEN-794)
An issue was identified where in some cases if a donor chooses to increase their donation to contribute processing costs, that our platform was incorrectly calculating fees and paying out more to the organisation than owed. (a win for you, a loss for us!!) This bug has been squashed!

Creating a campaign without specifying a campaign ID (GEN-796)
In some cases, when creating a campaign, it may have been possible to advance to other tabs in the campaign editing area and save the campaign without filling the mandatory campaign ID field on the overview tab. This bug has been squashed!
Giving form colour selections defaulting to all black (GEN-799)
In some cases, the customised giving form colour selections for a specific campaign was showing black as selected instead of the colours set previously by the organisation. This bug has been squashed!
The wrong value is shown for total lifetime donations made by donor (GEN-805)
In some cases, the value shown for the total lifetime value of donations made may have included the quantity and value of donations made by that donor to other Generous organisations. As a result, there was a misalignment between the totals and the donations shown. This bug has been squashed!
Additional line of text in custom thank you message on receipts (GEN-808)
In some cases, there was an additional line of text (system default text) before the custom thank you message on donor receipts. This bug has been squashed!
Donors without donations missing from donors list (GEN-817)
When an Organisation would add a donor manually (within the app.generous.com platform), in some cases the donor was not showing within reports due to a bug in the system that related to the donor not having made any donations yet. This bug has been squashed!
