Change Log: April 2021

We've launched many enhancements and fixes into our platform. Here is the latest list for the period April 2021.


New Features

Organisation Invoices

We have now improved our monthly billing process to include an invoice for your accounts team. On your billing anniversary (usually the 1st of the month) we will email you an invoice that will cover your monthly fees, integrations and features like Text to Give plan fees and platform and transaction fees on PayPal and BYO payment gateway donations - as applicable. You will continue to be charged automatically and so the invoice will show a zero balance owing.

Note: monthly billing is for plan fees, monthly integration fees, and platform and transaction fees where Generous does not receive cash on your behalf. Where Generous receives cash on your behalf (such as direct debit donations or credit card donations via the Generous payment gateway) fees will be deducted directly off the value of the donation before we pass the remainder to you. 


Enhancements

Improvements to the donate on behalf of donor UI (GEN-761)

We have made multiple improvements to the donate on behalf of a donor screen to improve the user experience and functionality. You can now choose to process a payment or just record a donation without processing a payment.

Fixes

Monthly billing not including GST

An issue was identified where the monthly fees did not include GST (a win for you, a loss for us). GST is now included on monthly invoices.

Error message displaying when using the manage donors tab (GEN-761.01) 

An issue was identified where some users were seeing an error message displaying when using the manage donors tab, caused by a system timeout issue.

This bug has been squashed! 

 

Error message displaying when copying a campaign (GEN-760.01)

An issue was identified where some users were seeing an error message displaying when trying to copy an existing campaign. 

This bug has been squashed!

Unprocess Paypal donations (GEN-810.01)

An issue was identified where successful PayPal donations appeared as unprocessed in the system.

Unsuccessful message displays after completing a donation successfully (GEN-810.02) 

An issue was identified where some donors were seeing a message to say their donations were unsuccessful in the giving form even though the donation was successful.  

This bug has been squashed! 

 

Not syncing offline donations made via donate on behalf of donor screen to the CRM (GEN-813.2)

An issue was identified where donations made via the donate on behalf screen where payment process was not required may not have been synced to the integrated CRM.

Not recording and syncing bulk imported offline donations correctly to eTapestry (GEN-813.4)

An issue was identified where donation data imported using the bulk import feature were not syncing correctly to eTapestry.

This bug has been squashed!

Salesforce Authentication Failure (GEN-828) 

An issue was identified where the Salesforce integration may have failed to authenticate successfully for some organisations.

User unable to save confirmation email message changes (GEN-862)

An issue was identified where some users may have experienced issues where they were unable to save confirmation email message changes due to an error related to google fonts. 

This big has been squashed!

 

Giving form does not focusing on the top of the page (GEN-866)

An issue was identified where on some websites the giving form did not focus to the top when proceeding to steps 2 and 3. 

This bug has been squashed!

 

Unable to delete gift frequencies (GEN-869) 

In some cases when editing a campaign and then leaving the tab open for too periods changes made would not save successfully. As a result of this, some users were able to add gift frequencies but were not able to delete gift frequencies.

Issues receiving and resending receipts (GEN-890)

An issue was identified where an organisation admin user may not have been unable to resend receipts to donors.
