Connecting Generous and Salesforce

If you are a Salesforce customer, you can now integrate with your Generous account. With this integration, Generous sends donor and donation information to your linked Salesforce campaigns. 

How to Integrate Salesforce with Generous:

1. Log into Generous. 

2. Click > Settings > Integrations > CRM > Connect to Salesforce. 

3. Click yes if you want your donor details to be updated in Salesforce from Generous. 

4. Add in your Salesforce username, password and token. 

4. Click Authenticate. 

To find your Salesforce token: 

1. Log on to Salesforce.
2. Click your username, and then My Settings.

3. Click Personal > Reset My Security Token, and click the Reset Security Token button.
4. Copy the token shown and paste it into the gateway settings. 

How to Integrate Salesforce into a Campaign:

1. Log into Generous. 

2. Click Campaign > Edit > Campaign Overview > yes to Salesforce. 

3. Select the campaign from the drop-down menu. 

Note: When you select your Salesforce campaign from the drop down menu it will automatically change the campaign name in Generous. If you choose to then change the Generous campaign name it will not automatically change the campaign name in Salesforce. 

How to "Disconnect" Salesforce:

1. Log into Generous. 

2. Click Settings > Integrations > CRM > Disconnect. 

3. Click Yes disconnect.
