Overview
Text to Give is hands down the easiest and most secure way to give. If someone knows how to send a text message, they can give to your campaign within seconds.
Your organisation is allocated a unique text number. In the campaign editor you specify a unique keyword. You then advertise this keyword to donors.
Donors should be asked to text the keyword and amount to your unique number.
Donors should be encouraged to authorise their number for easy donations in the future.
The first time, a donor will be sent a registration link where they will be taken to a mobile-friendly donation form.
Donors will register or login (if they already have a Generous™ account). Donors will be able to pay via multiple payment methods (Credit Card and Direct Debit and others)
Once donation is successful, a receipt will be created and is available by a link provided on the screen and also via an email.
If the donor authorised their mobile number (via the donation form), any subsequent donations can be made by text without the need to register or login.
